ACCREDITATION

Accreditation for participants and their accompanying persons takes place at Hovet next to Ericsson Globe Stockholm on:
Saturday, June 23th, 2012 from 12 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Sunday, June 24th, 2012 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Accreditation takes thereafter place at Globen (Information Centre) on:

Monday, June 25, 2012 from 08.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon (last chance for doubles except MD40 and WD40)
Monday, June 25 , 2012, from 08.30 am. to 9 p.m. (MS40, MD40, WS40 & WD40)
Tuesday, June 26, 2012, from 8.00 a.m. to 9.00 a.m. (last chance for Ms40, MD40, WS40 and WD40)

Each participant has to come to the accreditation in at least 1 hour before the age group starts to confirm his/her sports entry and to collect his/her tournament documents.
When collecting the tournament documents the participant has to provide his confirmation of participation containing the individual personal registration number.
All participants who have not received their accreditation according to above mentioned time table will be cancelled and cannot play in the tournament.
Players who have registered through a group will receive their accreditation only through the group leader, not individually.
The accreditation of accompanying persons only takes place together with the accreditation of the participant entered for the tournament.
All players are requested to come to the accreditation centre in “Hovet” as early as possible. Due to the massive entry, players have to reckon with longer waiting times as of Sunday noon.

ACCREDITATION PASS
The accreditation pass authorises the access to all venues. Each participant has to carry visibly at all time on site and in the venue his/her personal accreditation and present it upon demand by security personnel.
Abuse of personal accreditation passes (giving it to third parties) will lead to withdrawal of the accreditation pass (i.e. there will be no further access to the venue possible).
The loss of the accreditation pass will be charged with a fee.

Airport
Arlanda airport is approximately 45 km away from Stockholm. (approx. 20 minutes away by Arlanda express train).

INFORMATION DESK
At the information desk you will get information regarding sightseeing in and around Stockholm. If you have questions about transport the information desk will be ready to help you. Questions concerning your hotel booking will be answered from the hotel itself.

The information desk will be open every from 8 am to 9 pm. Wednesday June 27th the opening hours will be from 10 am until 4 pm.

A dedicated part of the Information Desk will handle tournament matters.   

CASHPOINT
You will find a cashpoint in the entrance of Ericsson Globe but also in the square outside the arena where several banks are located.

CATERING
All participants can look forward to a wide variety of food offers. In the complex of Ericsson Globe as well as outside the arena it will be possible to buy food and drinks. In the nearby shopping mall you will also find several restaurants.

CENTRE COURT/ACCESS
Due to the high number of tables, only players who have to play are allowed to go into the centre court area. All the others are asked to take a seat on the tribunes.

CHANGING FACILITIES
Changing rooms for players are located on the Ericsson Globe ground floor. We suggest all participants get changed into their playing outfits before coming to the venue, as the number of changing rooms available is limited.
Please do not leave any valuables in the changing rooms.

DOUBLES EVENT
Draw for doubles will be made June 25th, 2012 after 12 noon. Groups will be published as soon as possible after the draw is made.

ENTRY TICKETS
Daily tickets for spectators can be bought from the Ericsson Globe ticket office. Advance booking is only possible trough Ticknet: www.ticnet.se. Entry tickets are day passes with free seating at the spectators stand.

FIRST AID/MEDICAL DUTY
First aid personnel will be permanently in the first aid room throughout event.

FREE DAY
Wednesday (27.06.2012) is scheduled as free day to allow social activities and sightseeing. Training is possible from 10 am until 4 pm in specified arena that will be informed later. A training camp for youth will be arranged in Ericsson Globe why it will not be possible to practice there.

FREE SEATING
There are free seating in all arenas except for Ericsson Globe where one stand is reserved for players as far as possible. Accompanying and spectators in Ericsson Globe are requested to take their seats at the second level of the arena.

Farewell party
Friday, June 29th, 2012 between 7 and 10.p.m.
The banquet will be held at Solliden in Stockholm. The tickets are sold out and are only available upon late cancellations. Available tickets will be sold at the information desk at a price of SEK 600.

HALL OPENING TIMES
The hall will be opened 1 hour prior to the scheduled beginning of the first matches. Access is only possible through the main entrance at Ericsson Globe and Hovet.

MASSAGE
Throughout the tournament massages (with costs) will be offered to the participants.

OPENING CEREMONY
Sunday, 24.06.2012, from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. in Ericsson Globe. All accredited persons (players, accompanying persons) are entitled to free entry upon presentation of their personal accreditation. All other interested parties have to buy a ticket in the Ericsson Globe ticket office or from their partner Ticknet: www.ticnet.se. The cost is SEK 80. The participants are kindly requested to take their corresponding seats beforehand.

PARKING SPACES
Participants, staff, representatives of the press and ebitors will find parking facilities in the nearby Globen city garage. Please be informed that only credit card can be used for payment.
Garage P1: Entrance at Arenavägen 49, open 6 am until 11 pm. Exit 24 hrs around the clock
Garage P2: Entrance at Arenavägen 25 & 31, open 7 am until 11 pm. Exit 24 hrs around the clock.

PLAYER NUMBERS
It is mandatory for all participants to wear their player number (inclusive of the advertising printed thereon) made available by the organizers. Number and advertising must be clearly visible.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
Ericsson Globe can be reached as follows by using public transportation:

  • From Stockholm central station with metro use the green line number 19 heading for Hagsätra and stop at “Globen”
  • From Alvik use the Tram line number 22 or Metro line number 19 and stop at “Globen”
  • From Upplands Väsby use commuter train number 36 and stop at the Stockholm central

RESULTS
Results for participants and spectators will be displayed on big walls inside the venue as well as live on the official webpage www.wvc2012.com.

RESULTS LISTS
Results/result lists can be downloaded for free from the WVC 2012 website about 2 days after the WVC is over.

SECURITY SERVICES
Security service officers will be present throughout the event. They have been given the task of supervise access control. Orders given by security officers must be followed. Please carry your accreditation passes at all times.

TRAINING
Training is possible from Sunday June 24th 2012 between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. Ericsson Globe will be closed for training during the day of Opening ceremony because of preparations. A training hall will be available at the second level of Ericsson Globe during the whole event. The training hall will be open 1 hour prior to the matches start and close 9 pm. Wednesday June 27th(free day) training is only possible from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
